I've had this Goniopora for a bit over a month now. I admit that it wasn't a very good pick from the LFS. It came like that, 1/3 of it detached from the skeleton. My water parameters are fine and as follows:
pH 8.4, Ammonia, NO2, NO3, and PO4 are 0, Salinity 1.025, Temp. 24.5c, Cal. 420, kH 9, Mg 1260

It's placed in the middle of the tank with moderate water flow and light. What am I missing?

Cheers

I had one about a year ago and it would come out fine the first two weeks then started to come out slow after that. My issue was i didn't feed it. When i started to feed it, it came out in no time. I must add it died 3 months later because my tank crashed as did all my other corals. Here's a before feeding and after, pictures are a day apart.

Thanks for the reply. So I should still target feed it even though it's close?

personally i stay away from those guys as for the most part they have a high mortality rate in the home aquarium....i am not sure if anybody else on this site has had good experiences keeping them but i know i haven't

the last one i had lived for about 3 months before he kicked the bucket....IMO that one in the pic looks dead or dying

I never had good luck with goniopora despite good water quality and varying flows and lights. TBH I never tried spot feeding it thought.
