HELP: Gorgonian Identification?

I've never had a gorgonian before but I found an online seller who had something called a Purple Sea Feather - Purple Plume Gorgonian. It had really nice coloring in the advertised photo so I bought one and what I received looks nothing like what was pictured. Did I get the wrong thing?

The first pic is from the retailers website. The second pic shows the one I actually received. My pic makes it look more purple than it actually is in real life...it's more of a drab purple brown.

Nope that is what it looks like unfortunately the photo has been edited to make it look ‘better’

Are you sure? The growth patterns of the branches are different as well as the polyp colors? The polyps are a dark brown whereas the site photo shows white polyps. In fact, the one I received looks more like a purple brush gorgonian after seeing pics of it.

I am not sure of the different types of gorgonian but I am certain that that photo has been edited to make it look ‘better’
