HELP HEATER MALFUNCTIONED

My heater malfunctioned late last night the temp of my 5 gallon nano reef is now 96! I took the heater out and i did some water changes with cool water my damsel died and my torch coral is weird

I've never seen a coral come back from that high a temperature issue, maybe someone on the [HASHTAG]#reefsquad[/HASHTAG] can help.

I hope you didn't torch your torch but I too have never had this type of coral come back from this type of event, either. I do wish you luck!

I have to agree. The torch doesn't look too good I would doubt it will come back. I would put it in low flow and hope for the best. I would also suggest looking into a heater controller. Something like this

I would def get a heater controller. I think I have a spare one laying around. Message me your address. Im at the beach right now but ill be home sunday. If I have one ill send it out tuesday for you if you want. Its a jbj tru temp controller
