What’s wrong with distilled water?

I use Kroger’s often it tests 0 tds, tried some from Walmart it tested 8 tds. Of course ro/di is ideal and easier

I’ve read there’s a risk of copper. To be fair, I did not research that fact — I already had an RODI unit I just needed to screw onto the sink

Only if the water has been steam distilled should you worry. Copper pots and condensers are commonly used in the process which would result in a significant amount of copper in the water, which is totally fine for human consumption, but not our tanks.
