Help! I got a carpet nem i think its sick?

Went to my local pet store on Wednesday to see the new shipment And asked for anemones. The Owner said he Had a huge carpet for $30. So i said bag it . I noticed he was temp acclimating so he had just got it . The nem looks white the foot looks brown and the mouth was kinda open ..... i got home and did what i had to . Temp acclimated and drip acclimated but i wasn’t liking the look of this nem . just wondering if maybe its stressed from All the moving around . Or should i go back and get my money back ? My tank is a year and 19 days today and My parameters are good i have a Condy nem and a rose bubble tip as well my lights are a marine land but i am looking to get something different this picture was taken at night when the lights was off I turned them on just for the picture .

That anemone, a S. haddoni, looks fairly good for one that just got shipped across the world then change tank once or twice. He is stressed but given good condition, should recover.
You should return that anemone or else get a container with about 3+ inches of sand in it for him.
Haddoni live on/in a sand bed and are very good fish eater. In a small tank with him in it, your fish will be in danger.

I was also going to say, based off the image of that Nem, he looks fairly okay. I wouldn’t be stressing over this yet, you literally just got him. Give him a week and he’ll open up nice if your parameters are in line.

i also tested my calcium and magnesium and their super high but was told that was actually good for them since they some how use it ... is that true ? I been trying to raise my nitrates by feeding more often .

I am not sure of the reason for not drip. I always drip acclimate all my animals. Fast or slow depends on situation but there is no reason to treat an anemone any different tan other animals with regard to acclimating them.

I would try to get level around the natural sea water. I do not think high Ca and Mag is better for them, only that it may not kill them but I doubt very much at it is better for them than Natural salt water concentration.

Looks good. I would suggest a bowl or something with sand in it if you do not plan to add sand. The nem will never get fully settled from my experience and just move all over the place. Also, you really need to look at upgrading your light. Even cheap black box lights will be fine. The marineland lights , just do not have enough par for haddoni.

Other than that, just keep an eye on the nem, do not feed it for a little while and best of luck.
