It has been a while since I posted much of anything, anywhere pertaining to fish or anything else. Life has been busy, thought about changing jobs, trying to move, family in general. House work took me from the fun of the hobby into just maintaining what I have. I haven't bought anything fish related in months.

Here is my issue, I am "maintaining" 5 different tanks, 4 really if you don't count the QT. Each has its own type. Coldwater, predator, pico, reef. Planning a move I don't really want to add to the fish or coral selection. Being in limbo here, how do I keep the love alive?

I can't be the first here to go through something like this, and I don't care to downsize or quit. But seeing the tanks just waste away is killing me.

New livestock always did it for me...

Holy crap. Freakin spell check. Wavered. I wavered to long.

New live stock wold be nice, but I would have to move it.

When I get into a "funk" with my tanks which happens every once in a while I tend to try and find something I would like to change, and change it. For example a quick small change in my aquascape, moving a few corals around or changing a piece of equipment. I will also try to set up a few small tank "projects" like cleaning power heads or skimmer, just something simple that will put my attention on the tank. Usually something like this will snap me out of it. Right now I am also looking to move and in the process of buying a home so I know how you feel. I have been doing the things I said above to keep some focus on the tank and it's been helping I just cleaned my skimmer and return pump on Friday. The thought of moving everything is extremely stressful and nerve wracking and I'm still up in the air on what I'm going to do. Best of luck with everything man!

Thanks kschweer, it is crazy trying to figure out how to move tanks. Heck, just looking at houses that is all I look for. Will the tank/s fit, will the electrical work, will the floor support it? Who cares about carpet or paint color!

We looked at 5 houses today and 1 had a 100 amp box, all other had fuses still!

Okay, that helped! Picked me a new fuzzy dwarf tonight!
Getting them to eat can be w challenge, did he eat at the store? I got one with a tank purchase that someone had for years and when moved he refused food. Very sad :(

He ate ghost shrimp at the store. I have converted multiple over to frozen and haven't had one not wean yet.

On a happyish note, got and took a offer on our house today! Now the panick sets in as closing is August 28 and we don't have another house yet or anywhere to move the tanks too

Gonna have to virtualbasil.

The soon to be new fish quarters!

New development. We close on our house on the 28. We close on our new house on the 31! All great, but I need someplace to put tanks.

I got rid of a couple of 75's and did a 210g build. If you're pressed for time one tank is a lot easier to maintain even if it's larger. Side note, mines in the basement too and it's cooler there so I don't have to worry about the tank temperature getting too high.

I got the electrical skills to wire up a circuit or two.

I can't get anything in there for two days after it is out of my house. So, guess my fish need to breathe air for a few days. I got a spot for my 180, but moving it twice is just plain gonna suck. I will downgrade my 120 into my other tanks for the time being.
