I need to build a sump for a 125 gallon tank going to use over flow box. And need to know exactly how to build one. Any help will do please. Especially plans and what eguipment.!!

I use a 40 gal breeder and few pieces of plexie glass to make baffles . I start by making the first baffle go from 1/8" below the tank top edge to 1" above the bottom and the second one would be tight to bottom to half the height of tank and repeat on other side. This is to leave center of tank for macro and deep sand bed. I will take some pics.

Returns in one end and drain in other end, I put foam in between the baffles to catch any bubbles or crap that makes past filter socks , I also use 3/4"PVC and cut 1-1/2" off and glue this between the baffles to help support them and keep even space ,

Thanks guys where would you place carbon? And does it matter what brand of pump I use as long as i turn water over more then 5 times ?

Carbon can be put in a reactor or you can put it in a mesh bag into you return area (in a filter sock or not). I've seen other place it other places jsut needs to get a good slow through it. I have done it in a filter sock, but not use a reactor. As far as a return pump everyone has there favorite brand. I user a Mag Drive 9.5 on my 75, and had a RIO on my 56 before I sold it. The Mag Drive is quieter, but not silent. The 9.5 should be enough for your 125 might even get by with the 7. Need to calculate head space and make sure what ever you buy will push the water. I know I could of went smaller on my pump. I have a gate valve on mine and it's dialed down.

What over flow box are you looking at or have?

+1. I like the design at bottom of page and always recommend. Works best to have overflow from DT feed skimmer section, drains into return section in middle, and then have refugium at the side where you tee off the return line. This serves two purposes....Clean water for fuge so detritus does not collect and slower flow as a ton of flow through fuge is not good idea IMO.
