So I went through the patient process of cycling my new tank for the biofilter to do its thing.
After 4 weeks (ammonia up, then nitrate, then nitrate) all levels were finally 0 so I got 2 fish to add the to tank. I’m new to saltwater so I figured a hardy clown and a royal gramma would be pretty easy. I didn’t QT fish since there was nothing in the tank
Gramma went into hiding after 20 minutes in new tank. And after 2 days she came out covered in ich.
I immediately QT in quick hospital tank. Clownfish appears perfectly healthy (no spots, eating normal, normal energy)
However since the gramma was in a rock burrow with sand I’m worried that the ich is hanging out there. I caught it before it unlatched from the gramma but I’m still worried and not sure what to do.
how to treat? Just wait it out and keep an eye on the clown?
Thank you in advance for the advice.
