hello! So recently my 1.5” hippo tang had white dots this morning that look exactly like ich, I’m not new to ich as I’ve had it whipe out a tank, but anyways, moved her to my angler tank (moved all the anglers into my empty cycled frag tank) and she is loosing some color but the white dots are gone! All except one on hey eye, what should I do?

Stop moving sick fish. Just going to stress it out leave it be. Feed often and keep stress to a minimum by keeping perfectly stable parameters especially temp and salinity.

I’ve got 22 fish in my tank and my blue hippo will get a few spots on her from time to time. I literally do nothing and they go away and none of the other fish are ever affected.

I would isolate the fish into QT and treat with copper or CP. It's likely you may have infected your angler tank.

I used tartar Ich Guard, or that blue medicine on her. It worked like a charm with my old saltwater fish, I moved all anglers out too before putting her in.

I would stop moving your fish. You’ll just stress them out more. If your tang has ich then your whole DT has ich. Your other fish might have built up enough of a tolerance to fight it off but unless you treat your whole tank or go fallow for 70+days, your tank will continue to have ich.

Since you did move it I would treat with copper and monitor the health of the fish. However now you have tainted angler tank.

This is why initial QT is extremely important ;)
