Looks like new tank uglies, very common for dry rock. The red looks like cyanobateria, I would remove the cyano with the siphon hose when doing water changes and blow it off with turkey baster from time to time. As the tank matures it will go away.Hello I just noticed this patch of algae today. Any help or ideas what it could be? I have an ideas but just need some outside input.

The presence of algae lets you know No3 and Po4 are present but doesn't let you know what level they are at. When I started a system from dry rock I had to dose No3 and Po4 in the beginning.just my opinion, dry rock covered in algae, def high phos
