I have been having this growing on my rock work for some time now .
it’s red in color , tried to brush it off and it won’t budge which caused me to think that it might be coralline algae .

i don’t believe coralline algae forms in that manner. this is almost as if it is a root of some kind. coralline algae is more of an encrusting “patch” growing in a circular manner.

Looks to be a form of small turf algae. Try pulling a tendril loose with a tweezer and examine under a magnifier.
Assuming it is red turf , what treatments can I use other than the peroxide dip since its not an option at all .

Thank you
