Hi all,

Here is some information about my system:

Tank Volume: 110 gallons
Lights: 3 Radions
Circulation: 2 MP40
Return: vectra m1
Skimmer: vertex omega 180i
Dosing: 2 part

Alk: 9.5
Cal:480
Mag:1320

No3 and phosphate undetectable, but I guess this algae is taking it up.

Current photo period: all channels at 50% on for 7 hours and blues on for a total of 2.5 hrs.

My tank is approx 3 months old. Before you guys judge me for adding sps to such a young tank, my old tank was crashing with an alkalinity swing when we moved our house. This tank was done cycling and I had to move everything over and shut the other tank down..:(

About a couple of weeks ago I started noticing this white/brownish algae kinda stuff which grown only on rock areas exposed to the lights. This stuff comes off fairly easily with a tooth brush, but grows back in full force within 2 days or so. This grows on rocks and Frag plugs and super glue attached to the Frag plugs, epoxy, glass etc.. basically any surface exposed to light, but have not seen it on the sand.

It seems to be growing in tiny clumps. Can some one please help me id this?

Don't worry too much on an I'd. It looks like a hair alge.
Keep on it with the toothbrush and it probably time to really beef up your snail crew or look into a fish eat it.
