Please don't tell me it's black ich. The spot is between its eye and lip. It's just a beauty mark, right? RIGHT?

These pictures were taken today, Oct 18

For comparison, here is a recent shot of the same fish from 9 days ago, Oct 9

Things you might ask
  • Is this fish in DT or QT? DT
  • Are there any corals or nems in the tank? No
  • How long has the spot been there? A couple of days
  • Any other spots on this fish? Hard to tell since it is a mostly brown/black fish
  • Anything else going on with this fish? Yes, it has had white stringy poop for at least a week (and as recently as this morning)
  • Are you treating for that? Yes: GC+Focus+Selcon in an LRS+Mysis mix for the past 3 days
  • Anyone else in the tank have black spots on them? No
  • Wild caught or captive bred? Captive bred
  • Were any other fish in the DT before the clowns were added? No
  • How long had the DT been cycling before adding fish? 7-8 months
  • Do you have a QT set up and ready just in case? Yes
  • Anything else? These fish were in QT for ~70 days after purchase and have been in DT for 9 days as of today. They went through:
    • 30 days of 2.5ppm copper
    • Metroplex laced food for 2 weeks
    • 2 doses of General Cure in the water column
    • there was some Prazipro in there at some point as well

Well, it isn’t black ich (Turbellarian). It looks to just be melanin deposition, clowns do this at a site of an injury. I wouldn’t worry about it. The stringy feces is another matter, but it sounds like you are dealing with that.
