Hey all-
I hope you can help. I got this coral from a friend 2 years ago and it grew very nicely in my tank. He just told me it was a “brain coral”. From other friends I’ve gotten several different IDs so I thought once and for all I get a name from you guys. It is mostly light green, when it is fully open, it has some light orange stripes. I’ve attached some pics, I hope you can help! Thanks very much in advance.

Abby Normal. She's a beauty!

Sorry don’t mean to be ignorant: what is an “Abby normal”? Thanks for your response!
I was joking. Old movie reference. I can't ID it, but it is really pretty!

I think it's a favia. They are called closed brain corals. Very cool piece looks happy.

Thanks chad! That was my guess too, but it just looks more “fleshy” than other specimens I have seen so I doubted myself.

Polyps look too big to me for Favia. Looks like Lobophyllia to me.

Favia have large polyps, favites has small polyps. Which is usually mislabeled as favia in our hobby.
