I hate to even ask this as I'm afraid of the answer, but can any identify these bugs? They are all over the tank from what I can tell but easier to see on whiter objects. Tank is a mix with a lot of acros. All corals look great and I do not see the bugs on any corals.

Based on what I see they are some sort of black mites aka black bugs. There are thousands of different types.

No way to tell if they are acro eating black bugs I assume?

I imagine that if they were acropora specific you would have noticed decline in PE and coloration, and tissue loss.
Advanced Aquarist had some good articles on black bugs but I can not access the site now for some reason.

Thanks. I started seeing them about 3 weeks ago. And when I say they are everywhere I mean everywhere. But I don't see any on my acros and none of my corals look bad at all. I'm hoping it's just another phase the tank is going through and they will start to thin out. And more importantly not start my ching on my acros.

Would a wrasse or some other fish help? I've never encountered anything like that.

I have 5 wrasses but all Fairies. Unfortunately they're not great at eating pests. I have been contemplating adding a mystery wrasse

My melanaurus wrasse is constantly on the prowl. Don't know how appropriate one would be for your tank, or if it would even make a difference.

I tried a melanaurus but it didn't like the fact I run bare bottom.
