Welcome to Reef2Reef!

This species sometimes gets it teeth caught in nets when being moved from tank to tank.

In addition to better photos, more background information is also important - is the fish eating, etc. Information about that is in this post:

Jay

here, sorry about that

the fish has been eating but not a lot, when i place him in the tank didn’t seem to be stressed he was swimming everywhere and waiting for food when he saw me

Looking pics now clearer, I am siding with Jay on how fish was netted. They have a spike on the back of their gill plates and when they get caught, it can cause damage to fish and often temporary corrects itself and causes the mouth to hang open. On the otherhand, it can also not correct and lead to further issues including breathing issues and starvation.
Did you observe the fish being caught and any aggression with net from inexperience from the person chasing it with net ?

no, i bought the fish and they sent it

well i hope it gets better, thanks for the help
It does look like it dmaged its mouth, probably on a net when they caught it to ship to you. As long as it still eats, that should heal though.
