I've had our Blue Tang for almost 20 years. I noticed a growth tonight. The picture will show one side but it appears to be on the other side but smaller.

Any help ID'ing and/or treatment ideas if applicable would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The initial growth or laceration has improved, but a new reddish growth has now surfaced. All within one day. See pics. Thanks for asking. I have no idea what’s going on.

Blue tang is getting better own it’s own. Maybe it will clear. Never showed any signs of being weak and never Lost appetite.

Saltwater fish have a tendency to clear themselves up especially from wounds. Melafix would have been a good aid, but its going in the right direction.
Assure it gets a good diet:
Nori seaweed
mysis shrimp
Spirulina brine shrimp
plankton
LRS Herbivore diet
Formula 2 flake and frozen

Add Garlic to the food 2x a week. Vitamins also such as selcon
