Does he have any lines on his body? Is the color of his fins orange? Freckles on his cheeks? Better pic would help too.
Possibilities
White Spined Tang
Pencil Tang

That was the best pic that we got. It was at lfs and they weren't sure of what it was. It has spots before it's tail and orange on the tips of its dorsal fin. I'm not sure about the freckles on its face. Any help is greatly appreciated

No, it's certainly not a tomini.

The shape of the head makes me think a Acanthurus species. It has traits of dussumieri.

You can browse through these: Fishbase.org Acanthurus ID by Photo

Yea true that, kinda graspin at straws, got no idea by that pic.

Tail is wrong shape to be dussumieri.
Na, I'd have to agree with Evolved on this one. From what I can tell. Some kind of Acanthurus Dussumieri. Then again, the OP will get a diff pic, and i'll look crazy, but until then, Im gonna stick with Evolved's thought. Hard to tell the tail form that shot, but, its close I think.

I would agree with Evolved and Reefing Madness that it certainly looks like dussumieri. As far as tail shape being different, dussumieri tails dont begin to develop streamers on the ends until adulthood, until then it has more of a "classic" tail shape.
