I was feeding my fishes today and notice this strange thing on top of my live rock almost look like a coral but never added any and on the side it looks like it has more ???

That's Aptasia. Eradicate early before it becomes uncontrollable. We had to break down a large reef due this pest. We had at least hundereds and ended up rebooting the whole large system.

We even used Aptasia zapper or majano wand, boiled the rocks and even aptasia x. Nothing worked. They hide inside the rocks and will sprout eggs every night. Overtaken the whole system within a year.

Also you can ask your LFS if they carry any peppermint shrimp that will eat aptasia (ask them to demonstrate bc some shrimp simply don't eat aptasia for some reason). It'll be gone in a day or two without messing with any chemicals.

Thanks I'm going to try tomorrow

Kalkawaser and water. Mix to a paste. Squirt it in the center of nem. Cheap and easy

Yes you may use kalk but if it's too much, your PH might swing a bit.

Also make sure your LFS gives you a peppermint shrimp that really eats Aptasia. Not all PShrimp does.
