Just noticed this on the back glass. What is it and should I remove it?

Aiptasia-X will kill it, or you could try carefully scraping it off with a razor blade, being careful not to chop it up and allow bits of it to spread.

I have manually removed them in the past, I have hit them with a pen torch and also used joes juice. There’s several ways. Yours seems to be in a easy to remove spot.

I'm with the group, this is aptasia. But do yourself a favor and get some nudibranchs now. Don't wait till you see a dozen more (where there's one you see, there's always five):

I dunno, berghia are awful expensive and awful specialized to be buying on the off chance there's more aiptasia somewhere. Aiptasia aren't an emergency situation, particularly not for just one.

For a couple or few , I would Not recommend peppermint shrimp which can turn on coral or berghia which will starve when aptasia gone.
Keep it simple- Using syringe, inject either lemon juice or better yet. . kalkwasser powder mixed with tank water into a paste the consistency of toothpaste and inject into the very center core and it will melt away

Mine live in my hang on one of my hang on back filters I could go on and on but I will leave it at that.
