No need to be sorry. I was not trying to criticize. If it is not an external (singular) parasite - like an isopod - it could be a couple things. I agree with others - maybe try a freshwater dip. Does it look like 'an insect' sucking blood - or a growth from the skin?

Honestly, I've looked as close as I can...it may even be a scale that's flipped around. Not sure if I need to just wait that out or what....but I don't see a critter at all.

Love swallowtails. I've tried two and both died within a month. I don't lose fish very often but I'm not willing to try another one. Both died of some kind of parasite I'm assuming. They don't seem very hardy to me.
I have a pair of swallowtails, male and female. And they’re lovely fish. Also fairly hardy
How long have you had them? And I have seen a similar looking lesion that was the result of a scrape on a sharp rock. I would wait 24 hours and see what it looks like before I would do anything dramatic like catching it up and putting it through those stresses
