Hello everyone I noticed these critters in my sump today. They kind of look like a root but they are squirming all over the place I started to pick the out with a syringe since I don't know if they are safe.

Not sure. The should be Esp if they are tiny. They more than likey will eat anything a shrimp will eat. Detritus etc but they are all opportunists and I don't think a usual coral eater. I've had shrimp eat some of my friends before too.

I'd almost bet they are in your dt right now.
And I bet theyre tasty.

Yup definitely skeleton shrimp. I particularly try to order these from floridapets when they have them. They are a type of pod and are predatory on other pods. But really cool and do not eat enough pods to hurt your population. However in the wild they can become ridiculously prolific. I did not have that trouble in my fuge
