Help ID this bug!

I’ve been having issues with a Tricolor Valida constantly getting algae in random spots.

I inspected, broke an affected algae covered branch off and this either came out or off of it.

Is it a black bug?

How do I treat?

I have large colonies of Acro that don’t seem to be affected. The Valida seemed to be the only one with this issue that I can tell.

I have to agree with Kj i would think some outdoor pest as well.

Really? Lol!

It was floating in the water, a tiny black spec after I broke off a piece of the Valida.

I have no idea how I saw it, but I was able to get it on my finger out of the water.

I was doing yard work before I was doing tank maintenance so maybe a bug tracked in on me and fell out of my beard or something!
