Saw this coral at an lfs and the worker wasn’t sure what it was... it glowed really bright under blues looked white and glowed an orangish peach....letters were rubbed off but from what I saw it was orange s_ofi... any ideas?

Can you take a shot with white lights. It will help

Sorry I can’t ID but that looks very bleached

Scoly looks right...I think the bleach look is from the filter I used to tone the blue down...it was glowing like a lightbulb and I couldn’t even see the coral in pictures...I know these pics don’t help but you get an idea of how it glowed

Your not going to find a match because it’s really bleached. Save your money

I'm pretty positive it's bleached from intense light which is giving it a "brighter" appearance. I'd honestly pass on it unless your willing to nurse it back to health and depending on price it could be risky.

K thanks for clarifying ....let me ask you this would an unbleached orange still glow under normal light?

Tell them to turn the whites on and take some pics. Just for reference, this was a pink scoly I had for years under 14k halides.

No, Its would look pale. A good example of this is a bleached bubble tip anemone vs. a non bleached one under blues
