Help ID this lps coral please

I don’t know either. It doesn’t look like any kind of palythoa or zoa I’ve ever seen.
The only other thins you can do, is see if there is a skeleton growing with the coral. Like you said, when it's time to frag. I am used to palys and zoas encrusting over rocks. How much did it grow for you? And would you say it has encrusted over your rock?

The tank it’s in is just stabilized to the point where things are growing well in it now. So I wouldn’t say it’s encrusted on the rock but it’s just now sprouted a new polyp in the middle of its heads and one or two new ones on the edges.

No matter what it is, it's a very stunning piece. Do keep us updated it you find it builds a skeleton.
I can only make 2 guesses. Paly or pagoda sp.

Google protopalythoa images.
I agree that the polyps look very similar but the biggest difference is that my coral is one piece, not individual polyps. I couldn’t find any pics on google where a paly looks like mine

Here is a couple things you can do. Feed the coral and take pics of what it looks like. You could also aggravate the coral causing it to close. Take a pic. Palys have a very obvious look closed/feeding

looks like a rock that the palys were scraped off , now regrowing , imo.

I can't make out a skeleton under polyps.
@Aquanic did you see any skeleton structure? If not, I'd go with a paly sp.
When I poked it some it seemed pretty soft and I couldn’t see any kind of skeleton, so I’m gonna bet it’s some kind of paly. I guess we’ll find out for sure once it grows and I can tell from growth or when I frag it lol. If I ever find out I’ll let y’all know

Not sure, but I think I have nuclear green or green implosion paly?
