guys, these things are now spreading in my refugium. I dosed Algea Barn copepods a few months ago, but dont think these are pods. They are pretty big, some larger than a pinhead. The best I can describe it is that they look like mini shrimp. They move around fast and seem to chase each other. I started to see them a couple a weeks after I dropped an LFS bough red glacileria (sp?). Question, are these bad or harmless? Do fish eat them? Should I drop them into DT and let them breed there? Or try to get rid of them before they spread? Also, my red glacileria seems to be dying, I wonder if these things are eating it. Stems are turning white in bunch of places (visible in the pic) Here is a pic of this beast. Many thanks.

Yup, Amphipod :) Very tasty fish treat :)

Phew, thanks! They must be eating that glacileria then. I do dose Seachem’s phyto concentrate daily, but doubt thats what feeding them. I guess will order and add more glacileria when this one is gone. Thanks again.
