Do you have a blenny?
My blenny has several times now attacked a Foxface and a Coral Beauty, leaving a mark just like that.
I'm this close to removing him.

No, no Blenny.. Im pretty lucky so far, no aggression in the tank between the fish.

That looks like a wound/scrape. I would keep an eye on it for infection. But a second opinion will help.
@HotRocks @4FordFamily

Could be a scrape.. I glued a couple of frags down last week and it looks like a tip is broke off an acro.. she might of got into it. It kinda looks like a little chunk of skin is missing.

Is there any thing I should do in advance to help head off any possible infection?

If just watch closely for redness, further discoloring, or the spot growing in size— this will mean you’ll need to treat for inflection. Healthy tangs usually heal up well as long as they’re in clean water, fed highly nutritious foods (soaking them in selcon, zoe, and vita chem will help), and not living with parasites as their immune system will be busy fighting them off instead of healing up.

Thank you I will keep a close eye on it, What medication should I keep on hand for infection, if the need arises?

Kanaplex, metroplex, and furan 2 would be a good trio to have on hand :)

Just wanted to post a follow up and say Thanks to everyone... The little bugger healed amazingly fast, you can barely, barely see any sign of the injury a week later.

Thanks Again...
