Maybe

Lymphocystis

not entirely sure. Doesn’t look like ick or velvet or brook to me. I can only Guess. Good luck my friend. I’m curious what it ends up being.

Unlikely to be Lymphocystis, that is usually less numerous and more on the fins edges. This may be what I term mucus plugs - some species of tang develop these in response to stress. In some cases they go away on their own, but I’ve seen cases where fish died, maybe not from the mucus, but from whatever stressor is causing them. Take a look at my article in the articles section “the slime that binds”. I’m on my phone and can’t link you to it....

They are VERY long. If there is any way to describe them it looks like tiny white horns coming out. They come to a point.

Have you heard of a Play Dough Fun Factory? That is what's going on here - the fish's mucus producing pores are creating mucus that is coming out in a stream. They can get pretty long in some cases.
