If introduced to a large well established aquarium, very little can be done to supplement the Fromia diet as its main sustenance consists of microorganisms and film algae that is invisible to the naked eye. Fromia Starfish are not considered to be good candidates for algae control problems and will likely perish in an aquarium with excessive algae problems. The algae they consume usually grows in only established and seasoned aquariums.

Fromia eat a variety of foods.
Mostly they sustain themselves on biofilms but will also consume sponges.
There is not really a way to feed them tbh. Your tank has their food or it doesn’t. I have elicited a feeding response by placing frozen cubes of angel diet underneath them.
But i doubt this is actually enough to sustain them.

Yea thats the thing when i bought it i really didnt think about feeding it cause im so use to having a established tank. But this tank is a new tank. And i need to figure something out for it.

I agree in fromia star but I’m not an expert with feeding them. A new tank is unfortunately likely a death sentence 
Most lfs will take them back.
Disposable Tupperware and a cooler is a great safe way to bring back. Also allows you to lid it in the tank.
Mind you my personal experience with starfish i think air exposure reports are overblown but thats a different thread [emoji23].
