Hi guys! I’m a FOT hobbyist from Hong Kong. Recently I bought this Tang from a LFS and am not quite sure which species it belongs to. It’s about 1 penny large only but seems to me it mingles pretty well with other larger tenures of my tank so far. Is it a Acanthurus Dussermeri? Or a Acanthurus Bariene? Please chime in.

Thanks guys!

The Tang's shape resembles that of Fowleri but I couldn't see any blue mark behind its gill cover. Maybe too early for me to deduce its ID. Hope I will get to know it a few months later!

Possibly a Caribbean Blue Tang. It looks like a juvenile. Does it sometimes look yellow and other times blue?

It's hard to tell when a tang is that small. It could be a Fowleri, a Dussermeri or a Bariene. I'd lean to Fowleri - that's what mine looked like when it was tiny. Either way, it will get quite large. Fish pot luck.
