I keep very few frags in my display. They are all on a Frag station a inch below the water. Last night while feeding I found this work swimming around. It kind of reminds me of a baby bristle work but they dont swim right? This guy was shaking crazy like when he swam. It appears to have a bunch of legs. A slight blueish color to him. Also two little red dots at either his front or pack section that from the picture I would say look like pincers. Oh and he is only a few cm long from the naked eye it looks hard to see the legs and cant even tell those front things are anything but red dots.

If a worm has mandible-like things on its mouth I would not leave it in a reef...

The gray one looks kinda similar to yours...but yours does not look like it has the tentacles or whatever around its mouth. These are eunicid worms.

Yea I dont think that is it. This is super small and I have never seen one. I popped it out as soon as I saw it. Its sitting in a red plastic cup.

I did yank it as soon as I saw it.

Hi all! Here is my link about worms eating LPS

https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/ge...28-potential-lps-acan-pests-unveiled-big.html

I haven't seen the worms you show with the red eyes but I would be concerned that they are eating something. How else are they surviving? Maybe they are eating extra pieces of food after feedings now but what about after they reproduce? They might not have enough food and might start eating your corals.

The ones I had were living in the acan rocks feeding on the acans. Right after you begin cutting they come out (or get cut in half!)

This was the worm before cutting, you can see where it comes and goes from, the bottom of the rock hidden from our eyes (most times they are not out and you can't see them like this) I noticed it by viewing through the glass bottom of my tank after seeing an acan go down hill and not knowing why

Please post some info on my thread if you are seriously suspecting this worm of eating your LPS. Thank you!

I did a Frag tank cleaning and found one other. All of my chalices and acans look fine. I have one acan colony that I got with a dead spot and it just spread. So I did remember your thread and I cut the colony up and did not find any pest. I am still at a lost of what they are and if they are effecting anything. Ill keep a close watch but as of right now I dont see anything negetive with any of my fleshy LPS.

after reading your thread again alpha Your seems big mine are only like 2-3 centametrers.
