My tank is 5 weeks old and I have been cycling the tank with dead shrimp. This morning I found these worms all over the decaying piece of shrimp. What do you think they are? Thanks in advance.

not too sure what those worms are, but i would remove them asap.

+1 on pulling it out ASAP! With there being so many of them I would recommend using a net and trying to siphon some of them out.

Most important - take out their food.

Really? I still cant find an ID on these things but I thought since they weren't flat worms that they would be beneficial. Of course, their food source would much more limited in the future when I have live stock and not putting dead shrimp in there.

Yes they will benificial but not if they are 10 000. If you take out the shrimp normal feeding will make the number smaller
