does it just encrust or does it branch at all?

The way I understand it there are 2 types, Forest Fire Montipora, and Forest Fire Digitata (still a montipora). Hard to say what you've got there. It looks like it could go either way but if I had to bet I'd say encrusting. It's gorgeous, whichever one it is.
