I have had this coral beauty for about 3 months and it has done great. Yesterday I noticed one small white spot on his face. Today multiple spots on his face and he isn’t swimming around like he used to. Can anyone Id this for me and let me know what I need to do. Also I do not have a QT.

Sorry I can't be of any help with diseases. Hopefully someone will chime in. They will likely want to know if you've added anything recently and what else is in the tank with it. Are any of the other fish showing any signs of distress?

Lesions that large can be lymphocytosis but I almost always see that on the fins. It also does not seem to stress the fish either.

With the progression being pretty quick I would worry about velvet. Without a QT (even a cheap 10 gallon/heater/HOB filter would be ok) I'm not sure what you can do. Let's see if we can get our resident infectious disease experts to chime in.

I have two other clowns that are both doing good.

How recently were the clowns added?

Anything new recently? Fish/invert/coral?

It could possibly be ich, the spots look a little too large to be velvet, but the fact you mention it not doing well leaves me suspect.

Flukes is a possibility as well here.

A 5 min FW dip would determine if you can rule out flukes.

The clowns have been in the tank for about 7 months. Nothing has been added since putting in coral beauty. Well since posting this it now seems to be laying up next to/underneath a rock not moving. I can see it breathing but it’s not swimming at all.

I would do a 5 min FW dip to see if anything drops off: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/freshwater-dip.248898/

He may not survive the FW dip, but it sounds like you have nothing to lose at this point by trying.

Well he swam under my bottom rock. So I’m going to have to take rock out to get him. I don’t have time right now. Hope tonight won’t be too late.

Well last ditch effort I caught him so FW dip is happening now.
