I have a 200 that finished cycling a few weeks ago. I am currently qt’ing the fish so I’ve been dropping ammonia in here and there To keep things going. I’ve now got a few patches of this very white, stringy cotton like stuff going. When I pull it out it’s a bit redish on the paper towel.

Im sure my nitrates are through the roof so I started doing a series of 25% water changes. And I’ve stopped dozing ammonia.

Any help with the id would be appreciated. Thank you.

Yeah sorry - I'll try to get a better photo with just the whites.

It's looks like a stringy ball of cotton....top middle of the rock.
