Merry Chrismas to All,
I recently perchased 6 new fish. They are all in the QT. After a week I noticed white bumps on one side of the powder brown's head. And don't see anything on the other fish. I did a 50% water change and added copper power thinking it might be ick. That was 3 days ago,he was very active and eating well. This morning he is not very active and not eating. And still no signs of anything on the other fish. Any thoughts on what it might be and how to cure it? Thanks

Hi everybody,
I am sorry to say that my Powder Brown did not servive. Not knowing what I was dealing with I set up a hospital tank to move hom to. I did do a 2 minute fresh water dip with RODI water at tank temp. If anyone could identify this for me that would be great incase I see it again.
Thanks.

Sorry for loss. Looks like Lymphocystis. Infection appears on the infected fish as one or more white or beige colored pebbles or wart-like nodules most commonly seen on the fins, skin, or gill area, although other tissues may be affected. The good news is this is a virus and not parasitical. The virus enters the fish's body through openingsor injuries in the fins, skin, and gills. It does spread fairly rapidly on the affected fish and once it does, death is usually caused by secondary bacterial or fungal infection.
