Help identify and treatment

Need help identifying. Looks like GHA but a little more brownish. I’ve been reading up on different methods some say vibrant, others have had success with dosing peroxide. Manually removing isn’t an option last time I added a rock my blue tang freaked out for the change in layout.
params are normal phos was high which I have down to about .13 ( i know it’s not where It should be). I’m leaning towards the h202 method. Can any algae veterans chime in thanks. Tank is a rsm 250 = 65g
Side note. Tang, turbo snail, hermit crabs, no one touches the stuff.

Definitely looks like GHA to me. If you're still reading that level of phosphate while all that GHA is still in the tank then your phosphates and nitrates need to be really put in check.

I would do the following in this order of preference:
- Try to remove as much by hand, don't need to remove the whole rock, just scrub the rock in place if possible
- bump up your CUC
- Set up a fuge or algae scrubber, and/or run GFO (go slow)
- Use vibrant or h202

Personally I try to attack the source of the problem and figure out a way to manage the issue long term so that it doesn't come back!

Question which other CUC (starry blenny ??)Since what I have nothing touches it. My tank is an aio with a reef octopus bh2000 hob skimmer. I then need to buy overflow piping sump etc correct

Turbos and trochus snails.

What are you feeding the fish/inverts/corals?

Oh, I see, I'm not that familiar with AIOs, but maybe you can get a hang on refugium?

Spirulina mysis, flakes, and pellets. My corals and shrimp get target fed. It takes me like 20 min to feed them I try to make sure nothing stays behind. I was using Red Sea AB+ which honestly I believe gave me an outbreak as my glass develops a film of algae rather quickly or dinos not sure.

Ah yes! I've seen so many posts in the past couple of months regarding RedSea AB+ causing outbreaks of Algae! I know its anecdotal, but I really think you should start there - either stop using it completely or slowly wean off it!

Feeding otherwise sounds good to me!
