Hey guys!

I picked up this coral from my LFS and typically I deal with my regular "guy". Well, he wasn't there this time and I had been eyeing this coral for some time and decided to pull the trigger. Before the transaction I asked one of the employees what this was and he was not able to give me a name. I'm sure this is probably coral 101 stuff but I certainly have no idea what it is. I just love the color and shape. Thanks in advance!

IME they can handle a pretty wide variety of lighting. I think where you have it should be fine, is it power compact or led in your biocube? I always kept flow moderate and indirect.

LED. Probably going to upgrade to Steves LED kit beginning of next year. Copy all. I appreciate it.

Candy Cane, specifically Caulastrea curvata. I have a bit of an obsession with coral in this genus lol. I think you will too, especially once those polyps inflate as it acclimates to your tank.

It's best to start your own thread when asking for an ID as it will get you more eyes to help and won't hijack another's thread. It is a snake polyp
