Very new to having Anemones. Please help identify this nem......also, it deflates regularly (every couple days especially overnight) is this normal?

Could just be a bubbletip. Any new pics?
It does this multiple times a week...but always comes back to inflated. Water specs are perfect for a BTA....the lighting is more than adaquate...I've fed it a couple times directly over the past couple weeks. Really peculiar.

Hmm. Could you list the parameters? Any idea of the par values? I am not sure why it would do this. Bubbletips are known for changing shape and size.

Alk? Phosphates? To me, just from personal experience it looks like a not to happy BTA. One that hasn’t been happy for a minute… where did you get it and how long ago? How old is the tank?

I don't have a kit to test these in that detail...its the test tube test kit...super basic. The tank is 3 years old and has thriving fish in it.

I got the BTA from Petco about 4 weeks ago. We don't really have a great local place to get salt water fish unfortunately.....but I've had really great luck with the fish from this particular Petco.

Ok, I'll look into get a phosphate test thank you! I see they commonly close up if its too light....I'm running my light at full spectrum most of the day...8am till 10pm...could this be an issue? Its a fluval marine 3.0 that came with the tank (Fluval Flex 32.5g.)
