I noticed some what I think is, red slime alage in my tank. Only in a few spots and not out of hand yet and would like to keep it that way. I just installed a protein skimmer to help with nutrient export.
I read that chemi clean or other similar products are good way to eliminate it and keep it that way If you fix the issue of why it happened. But I also read that these chemicals can kill the good bacteria.
I have a emerald crab and an assortment of snails but none seem to be touching it. I've read some hermit crabs eat it.
What would you recommend to combat this? What hermit carbs are good for red slime?
