Hey everyone I've had my 29 gallon biocube setup for about 24 hours so far. And I'm not sure what any of these are. This is my first saltwater/reef tank. I'd like to know what the tube looking things are, as well as the group of circle things and what that spikey looking thing is. I'm sorry I am knew to this and I apologize for the ignorance.

I can't figure out how to edit my post, my apologies for double posting, I'm also wondering what the pink thing is.

The first one looks like feather dusters and the third picture looks like some closed up polyps (zoas). Its hard to see the second picture (im on my phone), so I don't want to give you bad advice on that one.

Everything is soft except the tube things....I didn't touch the pink thing but I just re did my rock structure and it closed up. The spikey things didn't seem to care but the pink thing closed up fast. They are all soft to the touch. I didn't touch the pink thing though.

I see sponges, feather dusters and zoanthids or possibly paly zoas. Either way, there's nothing to worry about there, those are all welcomed hitchhikers. I would offer though that your rock obviously came from an established tank, careful what else may have hitch hiked its way in. Keep doing what you're doing, that is, watch it closely, take pictures, and try to id anything your not familiar with. There's probably little to be worried about if your rock came from a reputable source, but this is a good best practice and you're bound to learn a thing or two...besides you have nothing else to look at in your tank while that rock is curing anyways. Happy reefing, and welcome to the club. Feel free to pm if you need any help along the way

Thank you. I'm definitely questioning everything that pops up. Here's some pics of the "corals". I killed off the things with tentacles, they were definitely an anemone of some sort. One moved over night. Any idea what the pink looking thing in the first set of pics is?

I can't really see it. Can you get a better pic? And maybe circle the item you're trying to id. The second set of pics are both paly zoas. They are a soft coral. you didn't kill those did you?

No I didn't kill them lol. They came like that. Some look like they are starring to bounce back. I'll go circle what I can get. I'm not at my house right now.

I did my best. Hope these are better.

Is it the first pic that you're trying to id? The pink thing? It looks like a mushroom. Does yours look like this? If so it's a shroomy
