That actually looks like a zoanthid I agree. If you scrape it off be careful as they can contain palytoxin which is very dangerous if it enters your body

I'd leave it alone. They tend to grow pretty fast though so if you don't like it it will get bigger, but at that point you could just remove and replace the fake coral piece if you don't like it when it's bigger
