I got this freebie coral from someone. I forgot to ask what type of coral this is and where best to place in my tank. Hoping someone can provide an ID and recommend placement / lighting condition. Thanks.

Weird because I bought this from Pet and Aquatic Warehouse but they never gave me the name for it. I broke it trying to remove an aiptasia so now I have two frags. Hey @bsr2430 wana do a trade for a hammer frag?

Thank you for the ID and reco. I'll place it higher in the tank then. I originally had it on the bottom of the tank. Your coral is the size of a VW beetle.hi,hollywood stunner ,good light good flow,keep flow going across away from other corals ,long sweepers!! heads up they grow fast

Placement can differ in everyone's tank!
3/4 of my Chalices are on the bottom, others are mid and top level. All seem great.
Simply make sure it's happy, happy coral, leave it be!

I've got a hammer that's giving me mix signals. Fell onto a chalice and still hasn't fully healed up! If it doesn't get better, you might be getting a hammer for free!

I think I paid a while $15 for a piece the size of a quarter. I need to make another trip here soon.
If it makes you feel better I killed two fairly quickly back to back. Havn't figured out the trick to hammers yet but I love their look.
