Help identify this new Coral

Does anyone know what this coral is called? I’d like to do research on caring for it. It seems to be maintaining but I feel like it could do better if I knew how to handle it. Thanks for your help.

Looks like a very mad ceptulina coral. Does it open at all and have clove like polyps? Do the polyps have stalks? Here is a semi happy one.

I’ve never seen any blooms. It just shrinks occasionally when the light goes down.

Ok I’m new to all this stuff and I posted some new photos that are a little better I moved it closer to the glass for better visibility.

If it is indeed a mushroom (doubtful), it's not long for this world, either.

I can’t say that it’s thriving but I wouldn’t say dying either. It’s just not happy. I’m trying to fix that. I posted better pics tonight.

It's definitely a leather.

I’m going to vote it’s a Sinularia polydactyla. A better photo will help but it really reminds me of this species of Sinularia.

I’m sticking to this vote, assuming that’s the coral shrunken down.

Yes he is shrunk down because I had to move him closer to the glass for better picture. He normally extends up almost like a tree.

Thank you! I did a little reading and feel real confident it’s a Colt coral. If so, then I have some ideas to make this little guy take off. I’ll be moving him this morning to a spot more shaded and higher flow. See if that works, fingers crossed!
