Help Identify this unknown Thing! lol

Do any of you know what this is? It came on a frag really small, spongelike, ball. Has a smooth outter skin. After a month it grew bigger than the shroom and started growing these red leaves. Should i remove it?

oh yeah, forgot to add that it's not hurting nothing, and if anything it would be absorbing extra phosphates in your tank.

Nemastoma sp. It is a very edible algae. All herbivores will quickly eat it. It can also be eaten by humans.
