Thanks!First and easiest treatment for an injury like that is to treat the tank with plain USP epsom salts: 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons of tank water. Feed the fish and add vitamins like Selcon, Zoecon and the best that really helps the fish's immune system is Beta Glucan (info below). Can retreat the epsom salts one time.
If the epsom doesn't help, antibiotics are best. The best for eye injury is erythromycin (aka Maracyn 1). Can treat in a QT at the designated dosage; or can treat in a "bath" (heavily aerate for 30 minutes and maintain temp same as tank) at double the dosage for 30 minutes. Can repeat bath daily for 10 days.

Wouldn’t it be great if there were one thing that we could give any sick fish that could help it? Aquarists dream of a “magic bullet” that could be used as a treatment for a plethora of problems.www.advancedaquarist.com
ThanksThat looks like popeye best to pull and treat that fast. Should be some forums on here of proper treatment protocol. Probably was due to it damaging its eye and then getting infected.
Thanks.I'm currently treating popeye with melafix, might help you here too. kills fungal and bacterial infections. I'm doing this in QT though, will prob have to catch him to treat properly.
