Help: Identify white slime

Hello,
I'm new to this hobby, can you help me identify the white slime shown in the picture? It occurs where there is low flow under rocks too. What's the red pointy stick thing?

Hi there. You have vermatid snails.

Best if you remove them while you can.
Scrape them off wherever you see them. Best done outside the tank in a bucket. They like to take over and get lodged in my fingers when working in the tank. Sharp little buggers.
