Hi everyone,
Newbie still learning...I've heard a lot about ugly tank syndrome and the various algae types etc....can you help me ID which type this is? Is it normal? Should I initiate panic mode? The tank is a 40g breeder, it's a month old and is cycled. I was already working on a list of my clean up crew. Sidenote, The algae doesn't bother me at all as long as it's not harmful. Thank you all in advance for taking the time to help those of us new to the hobby (I know we get tiresome with our dumb questions). I did the best I could with the photos, I hope they are clear enough.

There should be no algae that causes panic mode. It's all a normal part of owning a saltwater tank.

At 9 months to a year my tank had GHA everywhere. It went away. At 20 months I had cyano. It went away. Your tank will have all kinds of algae of varying species and colors. It will go away. Manage parameters, keep up on cleaning. That's all there is to it. No need to dose this or that.

Oh I forgot.... BUBBLE ALGAE!?!? So what. Manage parameters, maybe get some emerald crabs. Unless things are dying or parameters are going crazy there's no reason for concern.
