Help identifying coral

Hi everyone this is my first post here, I'm from Monterrey, Mexico. I recently cycled my first reef tank and set up a quarantine tank for corals and ordered some online. I bought a mix pack and this guy came like this. I don't want to give up on him , but it don't even know how it's supposed to look or even if it's alive. I would appreciate any help. Thanks!
