Help Identifying - ID me

Hey guys just noticed this spider web looking thing on the side of a rock.

Searched the forum but didn’t find much that I could definitely say that’s what it is.

Most sponges are harmless filter feeders but i have some blue sponge that is more agressive in that it spreads in the tank faster.
Mostly stick to the underside of things as shown in your photo.

Is there a way to tell? It seems to be growing pretty quick.

You would just need to identify the specific species but ive never worried about sponges. You can pull most of it off with your finger or pull the frag out of water and expose it to air....some arent tolerant of exposure.
